Halsey performed a version of Cyndi Lauper’s 1983 song, “Time After Time,” for the In Memoriam tribute at the 2019 Emmy Award. Halsey performed the classic during a montage of television stars who passed during the last year such as, Stan Lee, Cameron Boyce, Luke Perry, Gloria Vanderbilt and more.
The singer was introduced on stage by actress Regina King and performed the song accompanied by a pianist. Although the tribute recognized many stars, there was some online criticism for the awards for not including Peter Tork of the rock-group “The Monkees.”
Halsey’s new album Maniac is set to be released in January.
