Global Citizen Festival 2019 Tickets On Sale Now [Date, Lineup & Ticket Info]

Attention, all music fans: tickets for the 2019 edition of the Global Citizen Festival are now on sale!

The festival is an annual event held in one city, although it brings people together from all around the world. The festival’s main goal is to end world poverty via donations to charitable organizations both at home and abroad. Global Citizen works with charities that strive to improve education for young girls and women, as well as organizations dedicated to providing food, clean water and sanitation and environmental protections.

According to the festival’s website, the 23.4 million “actions” taken by people around the world to fight poverty since 2012 have helped spur policy announcements and pledges from politicians and other world leaders that total over $47 billion in value.

The Global Citizen Festival — which was founded by Hugh Evans and Ryan Hall— will be held in New York City’s Central Park again this year on Saturday, Sept. 28.

This year’s star-studded lineup includes Queen and Adam Lambert, Alicia Keys and Pharrell Williams, as well as OneRepublic, Carole King and H.E.R. 

Several other musicians are set to appear as special guests. Among those who will be gracing the stage in Central Park are Ben Platt, French Montana, David Gray, and Jon Batiste & Stay Human from Stephen Colbert‘s Late Show. 

Hugh Jackman and his wife Deborra-Lee Furness will return to host the festival, which has also been held in Toronto and Mumbai.

Coldplay frontman Chris Martinwho has previously performed at the Global Citizen Festival, was also named the event’s curator for the next 15 years in 2015.
