Coffee is a popular beverage, from fueling you with caffeine to providing a nice compliment to a social event. Keurig, a popular coffee brewer, is a useful device for pouring you a cup quickly and with little hassle. However, tea drinkers are now getting their own analogue to the Keurig: Teforia Leaf.

TEFORIA LEAF REVIEW

Much like the coffee-themed device for which parallels can be drawn, Teaforia’s Leaf swiftly pours its creation. However, only Teforia’s own brands of tea are compatible with them. The prices for the teas vary, although a 15-piece sampler is included in the package. Noted for its astuteness, the Leaf can determine the “optimal brewing recipe” for any tea pod inserted into it.

While the quality of each tea will be interpreted differently from person to person given the different configurations of taste buds, Gizmodo’s reviewer expressed disappointment at how several of the tea flavors were “weak” and “tasted like expensive water.” A couple of the offerings were of commendable quality, but the bulk of their catalog failed to live up to high-caliber tea Teforia promised.

The device itself is fairly attractive. With a contemporary aesthetic and glossy white finish, it will feel at home in many kitchens. It’s easy to clean, too, and you can watch your tea brew. The machine’s components were not made to be put through a dishwasher, however. Furthermore, the Leaf can be linked to your smartphones, although it isn’t necessary for the brewer to function. Wi-Fi compatibility is also highlighted as a way to teach your Leaf more recipes.

The Teforia Leaf is obtainable for $399. A more expensive option, the Teforia Classic, is also available for $999.
