5. Jo and Alex
Alex (Justin Chambers) and Jo (Camilla Luddington) will go down in history as one of the great couples of Grey’s Anatomy, not because they are extremely compelling as a couple, or extremely entertaining (although jealous Karev is a funny Karev), but because they work so well together. Alex has had zero luck in the romance department, falling in and out of love with Izzie, who abandoned him after he gave her a dream wedding, and falling in love with a patient who didn’t even know who she was. But in Jo, Alex finally found someone who forced him to be a better man and also managed to support him in the way he deserves. Jo is the only person who understands Alex’s upbringing in foster care, and she’s also the only one who calls him out other than his BFF Meredith. (Another reason to love Alex and Jo together: they are one of the only great couples that could last till the end! *fingers crossed*)
