Will Smith made an appearance at estranged wife Jada Pinkett Smith’s book tour stop in Baltimore for her new memoir, Worthy.

The couple has been receiving a lot of attention after Jada recently revealed that the two have been separated for the last seven years.

Will described their relationship as “very long and tumultuous” during his remarks at the book event.

“We call it ‘brutiful,'” he said about their marriage. “It was brutal and beautiful at the same time.”

“As I stand here before you today, I am happier than I’ve ever been in my entire life,” Will stated. “I have achieved every single thing I have ever wanted in my entire life. There is not one thing left that I desire in this world — all of the awards, all of the money, the family — everything I’ve ever dreamed.”

“Jada is the best friend I have ever had on this planet,” he continued, “and I am going to show up for her and support her for the rest of my life.”

Jada said in an NBC interview that her love for her husband is “fractured,” and she has thought about legally divorcing him a number of times throughout the years.

She later said that they both share a common goal of having a “life partnership together.”
