When Are The 2019 Golden Globes? What Channel Will They Air On? Facts To Know About Awards Show

The 2019 Golden Globes will be held Sunday night in Beverly Hills, California, and here is everything you need to know.

The ceremony will air live at 8 p.m. EST (5 p.m. PST) on NBC on Jan. 6. The show will take place at the Beverly Hilton Hotel and is expected to end around 11 p.m. EST.

Andy Samberg and Sandra Ohboth Golden Globes winners, will host the event. The 40-year-old Brooklyn Nine-Nine star and the 47-year-old Killing Eve actress previously presented the award for Outstanding Directing for a Comedy Series together at the 2018 Emmys in September, where they hilariously poked fun at the infamous 2017 Oscars mixup where La La Land was erroneously announced as Best Picture instead of Moonlight.

Samberg, a former Saturday Night Live star, won a Golden Globe in 2014 for his lead role in the comedy series Brooklyn Nine-Nine. Meanwhile, Oh won the award for Best Supporting Actress for her performance in Grey’s Anatomy in 2006. Oh is nominated for a Globe this year for Best Actress in a Drama Series for her role in Killing Eve, which premiered on BBC America in April 2018.

Golden Globe winner Jeff Bridges will receive the prestigious Cecil B. DeMille Award this year.

In film, writer-director Adam McKay‘s darkly comic Dick Cheney biopic Vice leads the pack with six Globe nominations, including Best Picture – Comedy. A Star Is Born, the third remake of the romantic drama set in the musical world, follows with five nods, including a Best Director recognition for Bradley Cooper and Best Actress (Drama) for Lady Gaga

The Favourite and Green Book each received five nominations as well.
