On Wednesday, Tori Spelling posted a birthday tribute to her mother, Candy Spelling, on Instagram. The post featured a series of photos of the mother and daughter pair throughout the years and was accompanied by a loving caption.

“Some of my happiest memories involve laughing so hard with you that we were happy crying uncontrollably and you doing your LOL wheeze…, “ she wrote.

Tori tagged her brother Randy Spelling, “You know the one! I never take for granted the beautiful life you raised Rand and I in with Dad. And, I am such a resilient and strong human and I owe so much of that to you.”

Tori closed out the caption to her post with, “Strong 💪 women run in our family. I’m passing it on. Loved and still love watching horror films in bed with you. Always. Xo.”

Although Tori and Candy have been estranged for years, the two have recently grown closer.

In 2009, Candy stated that she and Tori were not in contact. This separation influenced Candy’s decision to sell her and her late husband Alan Spelling’s 56,500-square-foot mansion, where she has lived since 1991. Candy had said she would have stayed in the home if there was a chance she and Tori reconcile.

In August 2019, Tori confirmed she and her mom were on good terms.

Candy has been helpful to Tori while she navigated her divorce from her former husband of 18 years, Dean McDermott.

Tori has fallen on hard times financially and recently posted photos of her and her kids living in an RV park after their home was infested with mold.
