Tony Robbins, the popular motivational speaker, hosted a fire walk at a recent event that left dozens of people with burned feet.

Tony Robbins Fire Walk Participants Burned

Robbins was among the speakers at a motivational four-day event at the Dallas Convention Center in Texas. As is common practice at Robbins’ speaking engagements, there was a fire walk made available that is meant to show those who participate that “you can do anything if you put your mind to it,” reported Fox 4.

“The fire walk often becomes the focal point for a lot of people because you know it is something a lot of people don’t believe is possible to do. If you had been in the room, Tony often says this isn’t about fire-walking. This is about facing your fears and moving forward,” said Tad Schinke, Robbins’ head trainer.

One fire walk participant in Dallas, Jacqueline Luzenberg, has done the stunt many times before and is a fierce advocate.

“This guy completely transformed the way I view and the way I think. For me it’s like a yearly routine, physical that you’d go to a doctor for. I get him to get me focused and push myself,” said Luzenberg

Unfortunately, not everyone managed to endure the pain from the hot coals. Dozens were treated by on-site medical staff for minor burns, and a handful of people were transported to the nearby Parkland hospital for treatment for more serious injuries.

Despite the hospitalizations, Robbins’ company believes the fire walk in Dallas was a success.

“We are pleased to have completed another successful fire walk for 7,000 guests and look forward to the remainder of an outstanding event,” Robbins’ company said.
