Sony Pictures has completed a film schedule that will last through 2019, and it now includes two more films in the “Bad Boys” franchise.

Sony Pictures Announce ‘Bad Boys’ Sequels

Sony Pictures released the dates for 16 films set for the studio’s 2016 and 2017 slates on Wednesday. On the list are two new “Bad Boys” films.

Bad Boys 3 is set for Feb. 17, 2017, with Bad Boys 4 set for July 3, 2019.

The first two action packed Bad Boys films starred Will Smith and Martin Lawrence, though it’s unknown whether those two actors are on board for the next two movies.

However, in August of 2014, Lawrence revealed to Conan O’Brien that he spoke to producer Jerry Bruckheimer about shooting a Bad Boys 3.

“I believe so, yes. I just talked to Jerry Bruckheimer yesterday and he said it’s real; they’re working on the script, they’re getting close, and it all looks good,” Lawrence admitted.

Michael Bay directed the first two films, but in June, it was reported that Sony was contemplating Joe Carnahan as a potential director for the future “Bad Boys” flicks.

The Sony Pictures 2016 and 2017 film list also include a remake of “Jumanji,” the first installment in “The Dark Tower” franchise and sci-fi romance “Passengers,” starring Jennifer Lawrence and Chris Pratt.
