Shemar Moore Returning To ‘Criminal Minds’ Season 13 For One Episode
Shemar Moore is reportedly returning to Criminal Minds for one episode in the 13th season of the series.
SHEMAR MOORE RETURNS TO CRIMINAL MINDS FOR GUEST APPEARANCE
Moore will reprise his role as Agent Derek Morgan for an episode called “Lucky Strike” that will air on Oct. 25. The actor is starring in the new CBS police procedural S.W.A.T., so his guest appearance will air before his new show. In it, Moore’s Agent Morgan will help Penelope Garcia (Kirsten Vangsness) catch the cannibalistic killer Floyd Feylinn Ferrel, who first appeared in season three.
Moore last appeared on the show for the season 12 finale last spring, leaving Criminal Minds after 11 seasons and 252 episodes, from 2005 through 2016. S.W.A.T. Moore told EW that the show is an updated version of the 1970s police drama. “The only thing that’s similar is the name, the font of the letters, and the theme song,” of the series last month.
“Shemar is straight gigglin inside tho 😉 I honestly am trippin a little bit inside… so PROUD, EXCITED, and READY for this NEXT CHAPTER… but… it’s all a little SURREAL to me… I wanted THIS opportunity for 24 years!!!” Moore wrote on Instagram. “I knew I had a lot to learn, pay my dues, hone my skills, and play the Hollywood game!! I BELIEVED I was WORTHY and CAPABLE of getting to this position in my career… I weathered PLENTY of storms both PERSONALLY and PROFESSIONALLY through the years… I did many things right AND made mistakes… but… I NEVER GAVE UP ON ME AND MY DREAM!!!!…….. MY DREAM IS HERE!!!! WOW!!!! WOW!!! WOW!!!! ……. I have never and will NEVER take anything for granted!!! I am and will always be JUST LIL O’l ME as I try my HARDEST to MATTER and INSPIRE…. and…. ENTERTAIN ALL OF YOU…. who ride with me!!! …… BELIEVE IN… YOU!!! look at me….. Dreams ARE possible!!!”
S.W.A.T. premieres Thursday, Nov. 2 at 10 p.m. on CBS.
