Ozzy Osbourn opened up about the status of his marriage to Sharon Osbourne to Good Morning America on Monday — and hours later — Sharon spoke about Ozzy’s comments during her own show The Talk.
“Some days it’s good, some days it’s terrible, some days you just drift apart for a while. But you get back on the horse,” Ozzy told GMA host Jesse Palmer in his interview, adding that while he’s made mistakes, their marriage is “back on track.”
“Get back on the horse? How dare he! He’s just a romantic fool,” Sharon told her Talk audience. “It’s been very hard. I shouldn’t speak for him. I know he wants to come on this show anyway and talk for himself to you all.”
“I’m fine with that. He feels he owes everybody here an apology because he’s put us all through it,” Sharon continued. “He’s very embarrassed and ashamed about his conduct.”
Back in May, Sharon announced that she and Ozzy were separating after 33 years of marriage, when speculation surrounding Ozzy’s infidelity hit the news.
Sharon admitted that she does forgive her husband — and despite their issues — they’ve been together way too long to just give up.
“I can’t speak for him. But for me, um, yes, you know. I forgive,” Sharon shared. “It’s going to take a long time to trust but you know we’ve been together for 36 years, 34 of marriage, and it’s more than half of my life.”
Sharon may have forgiven Ozzy, but she also made it clear that her husband is still in the dog house.
“I just can’t think of my life without out him. Even though he is a dog. He’s a dirty dog,” Sharon joked. “So there we are. He’s going to pay for it big time.”
