Before she set about cutting off her hair with the help of her mother and a close pal, Doherty hinted that they’d be enjoying some sweet snacks. “Cupcake pan, chocolates and a razor…. Stay tuned,” Doherty wrote. “@annemkortright has got this. #cancersucks #thankgodforfriends.”

Doherty revealed that she was diagnosed with cancer last August. “Yes, I have breast cancer, and I am currently undergoing treatment,” Doherty told People at the time. “I am continuing to eat right, exercise and stay very positive about my life,” she continued. “I am thankful to my family, friends and doctors for their support and, of course, my fans who have stood by me.”
