Scout Willis Announces She’s Now ‘An Actor’ In Post With Dad Bruce Willis Amid His Dementia Battle
In a touching Instagram post, Bruce Willis’ daughter, Scout Willis, shared a series of photos in which her famous father made a rare appearance online.
In the carousel of pictures and videos, Scout featured a video in which she and Willis shared a hug on a sunny day.
Willis has been largely absent from the public eye since concerns about his health were first shared in 2022 when he was diagnosed with aphasia. He was later diagnosed with frontotemporal dementia in February 2023 and has since been exceedingly private; so, his appearance sparked a flurry of excitement among fans.
Scout also included photos of her friends, mother and sisters. She captioned the post, “Some December, and a formal announcement that I’m an actor now fyi.”
Willis shares his three daughters Rumer, 36, Tallulah, 30, and Scout, 33, with his ex-wife Demi Moore to which he was married from 1987 to 2000. Willis shares his other two daughters Mabel Ray, 12, and Evelyn Penn, 10, with his wife Emma Heming Willis, whom he has been married to since 2009.
In a recent appearance on The Drew Barrymore Show, Moore shared health updates that, “Given the givens, [Willis] is in a stable place.”
Moore explained emphatically, “What I say to my kids is you have to meet them where they’re at…You don’t hold on to who they were or what you want them to be, but who they are in this moment.”
She continued, “And from that, there is such beauty and joy and loving and sweetness…When I’m in L.A. I go over every weekend, and I really treasure the time that we all share.”
Moore’s earnest comments echo the advice Willis’ current wife Emma recently shared she had given her younger daughters regarding their father’s health. She explained in an interview with Town & Country, “I’ve never tried to sugarcoat anything for them… they know that Daddy’s not going to get better.”
Scout and Tallulah posted another rare glimpse of Willis last month in a joint Instagram post that showed the women giving their father a small plague that declared, “Best Dad Ever.” Tallulah wrote, “Grateful” in the caption.
