The corpse of the Russian model Gretta Vedler was located a year after she went missing. Her disappearance caused concern because it came soon after she called Russian President Vladimir Putin a “psychopath” in a January 2021 rant posted online.

She was 23 at the time of disappearance and also wrote “he can really he do anything,” in regards to Putin’s powers.

She was allegedly killed over money and not her statements about the government. Vedler’s ex-boyfriend, Dmitry Korovin, confessed to the murder recently. He said he strangled Vedler before driving her to a remote region in Russia 300 miles from where she lived in Moscow and then left her corpse in a suitcase in the trunk of a car where it remained.

According to his confession, Korovin even spent several nights in a hotel room during the journey with the suitcase that had her body crammed inside it.

Korovin even posted to Vedler’s social media accounts after he killed her to trick followers into thinking she was still alive. He was only arrested after arousing suspicion when asking a friend to file Vedler’s missing persons case for him.
