Former Trump lawyer and adviser Rudy Giuliani denied reports that he has a drinking problem following a New York Times report chronicling his excessive drinking habits over decades.

During a press conference in Concord, New Hampshire, Giuliani addressed the report, “I do not have an alcohol problem. I have never had an alcohol problem,” he said.

“[If] I have an alcohol problem, I should be in the Guinness Book of World Records. Nobody could have achieved that if they did [have a drinking problem]. … I was working 24 hours a day. It’s a big damn lie,” Giuliani added.

Giuliani was talking to reporters who’ve gathered outside the Merrimack County Superior Court. Giuliani was in court to announce his plans to sue President Joe Biden for calling him a “Russian pawn” during a 2020 presidential debate.

“[Trump’s] buddy Rudy Giuliani. He’s being used as a Russian pawn. He’s being fed information that is Russian — that is not true,” Biden said.

Giuliani also called the New York Times a “disgrace.” The news organization reported that those close to Giuliani’s circle have been concerned about his drinking habits for years.

Giuliani is also facing a lawsuit from his former lawyers, who are suing him for more than a million dollars in legal fees. He also lost a second attorney in Georgia, which leaves him without a local legal team, where he is facing racketeering charges to overturn the 2020 election results.

The former New York City mayor is also facing a multimillion judgment for defaming two Georgia election workers with his false claims about voter fraud.
