On Monday night, Rudy Giuliani’s lawyer, Robert Costello, sued him in Manhattan state court for an estimated $1.36 million as part of an outstanding bill for legal services that Giuliani allegedly failed to pay.

According to the filing, Costello and his law firm represented Giuliani while he was being investigated by the U.S. Attorney for the Southern District of New York, the Fulton County District Attorney’s Office, Special Counsel Jack Smith and during the federal investigation into the insurrection on January 6, 2021.

Costello has asserted that the services he provided to Giuliani totaled $1,574,196.10, but Giuliani has only paid $214,000.

The law firm, Davidoff Hutcher and Cintron LLP, and Costello are requesting that Giuliani pay outstanding fees and any interest that has built up.

Giuliani has been the subject of numerous lawsuits and investigations in connection with attempting to overturn former President Donald Trump‘s 2020 election loss. Trump recently held a fundraiser for him at his Bedminster golf course, but the amount raised will only cover a fraction of the millions that he owes to numerous lawyers.

The former New York City mayor was also recently sued for sexual harassment by an ex-employee.
