Roseanne Barr Claims She’s Gotten New TV Show Offers On Podcast With Rabbi Shmuley Boteach

Roseanne Barr just can’t seem to stay out of headlines. After her racist tweet about Valerie Jarrett, the cancellation of her self-titled show and the drama that followed suit, Barr claims that producers still want her on their TV shows.

On Saturday, Barr was featured on Rabbi Shmuley Boteach‘s podcast. She seemed optimistic about her future, telling the host she may take an offer and return to TV.

“Inside every bad thing is a good thing waiting to happen and I feel very excited because I’ve already been offered so many things and I almost already accepted one really good offer to go back on TV and I might do it. But we’ll see.”

When Boteach probed into the Jarrett tweet and the downfall of her personal career, Barr broke down into tears.

“I didn’t mean what they think I meant, and that’s what’s so painful. When you hurt people, even unwittingly, there’s no excuse. I apologize to anyone who felt offended and who thought that I meant something that I, in fact, did not mean, to my own ignorance,” she said.

Initially, Barr blamed the sleeping medication Ambien for the racist tweet. Then she claimed she didn’t know Jarrett was black. Most recently, the actress said her tweet was misunderstood and was meant to allude to the anti-semitism in the Iran nuclear deal.

Barr recently waived her rights to Roseanne which has allowed ABC to begin creating The Conners, the straight-to-series show to go on without her.

“I definitely feel remorse… I’m a lot of things, I’m a loud mouth and all that stuff, but I’m not stupid, for God’s sake. I never would have wittingly called any black person…a monkey,” Barr said during the podcast.

Barr didn’t specify who wanted her or what shows she may star in.
