Rihanna has had the twitterverse buzzing lately – first over her possible drug use and now with a new, unusual tattoo. During a recent vacation to Hawaii, paparazzi snapped photos of the 23-year-old singer lighting up before she tweeted photos of herself in a bikini.

Now back in L.A., the singer just got some new tattoo work done – which includes a Tupac-inspired "Thug Life" tattoo across her knuckles. The slain singer had the same message tattooed across his stomach

Early Wednesday, Rihanna began a series of tweets chronicling her latest visit to the tattoo parlor, including meeting tattoo aficionado and actor Danny Trejo and having "Thug Life" tattooed across her knuckles, but in pink ink to soften the message. Along with a caption that read, "All these bitches screaming that 2pac back," Rihanna tweeted a photo of herself holding out her closed fists to show the new tattoo.

What's next in line for the Grammy-nominated singer? A reality show that will air on the U.K.'s Sky Living Network, featuring burgeoning clothing designers who set out to dress her. "The show will celebrate the extraordinary talent and creativity in the British fashion scene," reads the channel's website. "With Rihanna, a fashion icon herself, and Nicola [Roberts], who created her own Dainty Doll makeup range, at the helm, the show will recognise the increasing influence popstars have on mainstream trends."

Rihanna is excited about the project. "I've always had a great love of fashion," she told Sky Living. "It's a constant source of inspiration in my life, and is a big reason why I've grown into the person and artist I am today."
