Rihanna Caught On The Set Of ‘Bates Motel’

On Tuesday, Rihanna was caught on the set of Bates Motel.

“Needed Me” singer has acquired an impressive acting resumé recently, with several movies and shows coming out. Recently spotted on the set of Bates Motel in Vancouver as she is set to play the role of Marion Crane in the upcoming season of the A&E series.

Rihanna was cast as the iconic Psycho character earlier this summer. Known as one of Norman Bates’ most famous victims, millions of fans watched her brutal death when Alfred Hitchcock’s movie debuted in 1960. Marion was originally played by Jamie Lee Curtis‘ mother, Janet Leigh, and will now be murdered by Freddie Highmore, playing the serial killer.

Rihanna filmed her first scenes with Nestor Carbonell, who stars on the series as Sheriff Alex Romero, directing the episode.

“We wanted to thrust the iconic role into a contemporary spotlight and redefine it in a meaningful and exciting new way. We also heard Rihanna was a fan of the show, and we were huge fans of hers, so it was the perfect collision of creativity and fate,” the show’s producers said in a recent statement.

The songstress will also play an alien stripteaser, starring alongside Cara Delevingne and Dane DeHaan in Valerian and the City of a Thousand Planets, which is due out 21 July 2017.

She is also in the middle of filming a role in Ocean’s Eight. The female-dominated cast includes Dakota Fanning, Anne Hathaway, Sarah Paulson, Helena Bonham Carter, Cate Blanchett, Sandra Bullock and Mindy Kaling.

The fifth and final season of Bates Motel does not have a premiere date yet, but is expected to air sometime in March 2017.
