Rep. Marjorie Taylor Greene (R-Georgia) faced condemnation on social media after she blamed Democrats for the attempted assassination of the former president.

Greene made her accusation in an X post. “We are in a battle between GOOD and EVIL,” she stated in her post. “The Democrats are the party of pedophiles, murdering the innocent unborn, violence, and bloody, meaningless, endless wars.”

“They want to lock up their political opponents and terrorize innocent Americans who would tell the truth about it,’ the Georgia congresswoman claimed. “The Democrat party is flat-out evil, and yesterday they tried to murder the President.”

Greene soon received condemnation from many X users for her post.

“Your rhetoric is REPREHENSIBLE,” one user declared in a post. “Sit down.”

“Resign in disgrace,” another user stated. “It was a Republican.”

“Stop the good/evil language,” demanded another. “That is part of the problem. You been name calling and blaming for hours, just remember when you are pointing at others three are pointing back at you. Different policies, not good and evil.”

In early July, Greene ended her press conference outside of former White House aide Steve Bannon’s prison in Danbury, Connecticut, which took place hours before Bannon was scheduled to serve his four-month sentence after being convicted of contempt of Congress.

During the press conference, she kept being interrupted by protesters who yelled obscenities.

Around the same period, Greene also received backlash on X for listing the wrong names of people who signed the Declaration of Independence in a post on the platform.

X tagged the post with a correction, saying that it had been “in error with respect to Monroe, Madison, Washington, Burr, and Hamilton being signers.”
