Rebecca Black Left School Due To Bullying

Fridays have become a problem for YouTube pop star Rebecca Black. Black, 14, revealed that she became a victim on high school bullying after the infamous release of her single, "Friday," on YouTube.

The trouble led to Black being homeschooled. "When I walk by they'll start singing 'Friday' in a really nasally voice," she said of her classmates on ABC's Nightline. "Or, you know, they'll be like, 'Oh hey, Rebecca, guess what day it is?'" Though the song was globally ridiculed, with many critics calling it "the worst song ever," Black lashed back at her critics with the new "My Moment," which kicks off with the lyrics, "Weren't you the one who said that I would be nothing? / Well I'm about to prove you wrong."

Georgina Marquez, Black's mother, explained that her daughter is better off being homeschooled. "Rebecca certainly did not need that kind of pressure," she said of the bullying. Black has faced online ridicule, as well as the face-to-face variety. "Waking up to a rumor that you're pregnant is not fun, the teenage sensation said. "It's just frustrating because, I mean, I'm still, like, excited over my first kiss."
