Rapper DaBaby, 28, apologized on his Instagram to the female fan he struck at an after-party in Tampa, Florida.
The rapper was caught on video hitting a woman named Tyronesha Laws who was shining the flashlight of her cellphone as he made his way to the stage of his concert. He left the venue without performing a single song after shocked audience members boo’d him off the stage. When police arrived, responding to a 911 assault call, Da Baby had already left the scene.
After footage of the incident was leaked online, DaBaby offered $10,000 to anyone who had a clip of the woman striking him first. In a video clip, he shared on his Instagram story, Laws appears to tap DaBaby on his forehead with her phone.

He later took to Instagram Live to post a public apology.
“I do sincerely apologize. I do. I’m very sorry to there was a female on the other end of that flashlight on that phone,” he stated. “Keep in mind, I couldn’t see you cuz you got the flash this close to me, which is ok. It’s no problem. A lot of people did. They didn’t put it as close as you put it, but a lot of people had flashing me. That’s ok, that’s what I signed up for. I just wish you could’ve respected me the way I would’ve respected you. I still got love for you.”
According to Page Six, Laws’ attorney, Matt Morgan, Laws claims that she was not the one shining the light but instead was standing next to the fan who was.
DaBaby faced legal issues earlier this year in January when he was arrested in Miami, Florida for hitting the promoter of an event in the face.
