Rapper Blueface, whose real name is Johnathan Jamall Porter, received a suspended sentence of 24 months with a maximum of 60 months after pleading guilty to firearm and battery charges related to a shooting outside a Las Vegas strip club.

The incident occurred in October 2022 outside the Euphoric Gentlemen’s Club on Windy Road. It all started when Kentavious Traylor allegedly made a joke at the expense of Blueface, calling his car “a cheap vehicle.” The quip resulted in Traylor suffering a bullet graze wound on his left hand after the rapper began shooting at his truck.

It wasn’t until last week at the Clark County courtroom Blueface received his sentencing. Judge Kathleen E. Delaney decided that the rapper would get a maximum of three years of probation. If the rapper completes certain requirements, he could get a suspended sentence where the judge could suspend the sentence partially or even entirely.

The state, however, is allowed to petition to revoke the sentencing if the conditions are violated. If this were to happen, the rapper would have to serve the original term.

When asked about his thoughts on the sentencing, the victim told reporters he was “completely disappointed in all of this” since he knows people who serve more time for petty theft. He even says that he has lost “complete faith in the justice system” after feeling like nothing was done right on his end to ensure justice.

The victim has also spoken about his life since the incident, saying that it has taken a toll on him, and he can’t even bring himself to work.

The rapper, on the other hand, says he is “moving forward with his life” as he plans to focus on his music career. He even hopes to get approval from the state for “interstate transfer of probation supervision.”
