The Freeform’s drama series confirmed this summer that the series will end in 2017 after seven seasons of twisted plots and shocking reveals. Lucy Hale took over Instagram to post a selfie of the five Liars — herself, along with Ashley Benson, Shay Mitchell, Troian Bellisario and Sasha Pieterse — inside the Warner Bros. studios.

“While we still have 15 more days of filming, I sit here with a heavy, but extremely full & grateful heart after our official last table read of Pretty Little Liars. Aside from a murder mystery, mysterious Rosewood, the Hunt for A, and a lot of sketchy characters…the foundation of this show started and ended with friendship. Through it all, these characters stuck by each other’s side,” the actress told her 15.7 million followers in a caption. “Knowing and working with each of these ladies has left such a huge mark on my life. And I’m not ready to say goodbye.”

Recently, fans have been impatient since the season 6’s summer final revealed who was behind the black hood. On social networks, the showrunner and executive producer, Marlene King, received a lot of comments begging for the final episodes. Last August, in response of these messages, she announced after the season 7’s summer finale that next year will mark the end of Pretty Little Liars, with a two-hour long final episode.

The second half of Pretty Little Liars‘ last season will kick off in April 2017, followed by the premiere of King’s new show Famous in Love.
