President Barack Obama gave Kanye West some advice with regards to West’s intention to run for office in 2020.

OBAMA GIVES KANYE WEST ADVICE

“You may have heard about this, Kanye is thinking about running for Speaker of the House,” Obama said during an event supporting the Democratic Hope Fund in San Francisco on Saturday. “But, in case Kanye’s serious about this whole POTUS thing – or as he calls it, ‘Peezy’ – I do have advice for him.”

Obama’s first bit of advice should be easy enough for the famed rapper to follow.

“First of all you’ve got to spend a lot of time dealing with some strange characters who behave like they’re on a reality TV-show,” Obama said, referencing The Kardashians, and specifically West’s wife, Kim Kardashian. “So you’ve got to be cool with that.”

The second bit of advice may prove to be more of a challenge for West, as he tends to act before he thinks.

“Second, this is the second important tip, saying that you have a ‘beautiful, dark, twisted fantasy,’ that’s what’s known as ‘off-message’ in politics,” Obama said, referencing on of West’s albums. “You can’t say something like that. A lot of people have lost their congressional seats saying things like that.”

Obama concluded his advice with a little joke about himself, as well.

“And number three, do you really think that this country’s gonna let a black guy from the south side of Chicago, with a funny name, to be president of the United States? That is crazy!” The crowd laughed and applauded Obama’s sarcastic joke.

Obama isn’t the only one who supports West’s decision to run for president. Donald Trump gave his approval in an interview with Rolling Stone, saying, “he’s actually a different kind of a person than people think. He’s a nice guy. I hope to run against him some day.”
