Paris Hilton announced the arrival of her first child with a touching Instagram post on Tuesday. Hilton, 41, and her husband Carter Reum, 41, welcomed their son via surrogate.

The media personality shared a closeup shot of a baby’s hand clutching the thumb of a freshly manicured woman’s hand, presumably her and her baby.

“You are already loved beyond words,” she wrote in the caption.

After dating for over a year, the new parents got engaged in February 2021 and were married in November of the same year. Hilton told the media that the couple began pursuing in-vitro fertilization (IVF) during the pandemic and that she wanted to get “all of the eggs stocked and ready.”

Hilton has previously expressed her desire to have a family, even recently on an episode of The Bellas Podcast that she would like “three or four” children one day.

“I love being married,” she told the podcast’s hosts. “I just feel like I finally found my perfect match and I just feel so safe. I finally have my home and I just can’t wait to start a family and have kids.”

Fans and friends flooded the comments with support. Kim Kardashian, who was once Hilton’s assistant, and Kris Jenner wrote their words of congratulations, along with Demi Lovato, Chrissy Tiegen, Lindsay Lohan and supermodel Nina Dobrev.

“Love you little Paris! Omg!” model and businesswoman Kimora Lee Simmons wrote. “You’ll be such an amazing mama! Congrats to both of you!”
