‘Orphan Black’ Season 5 Extended Trailer Shows Clones In Danger, United [SPOILERS]
The critically acclaimed BBC America show Orphan Black is coming to an end, but not without a fight. An extended trailer for the fifth and final season shows Sarah (Tatiana Maslany) and her clone sisters (Maslany) uniting with each other in order to survive.
The trailer begins with a flashback of Beth (Maslany) committing suicide – the event that caused Sarah to discover who she was and who her clone sisters were. Then, the trailer shows each clone sister speaking to the evils committed against them over the past four seasons. In the upcoming fifth season, they are no longer going to take the abuse lying down and confused.
Like the fourth season – which was widely praised as one of the series’ best – season five, with the flashback at the beginning of the trailer, promises to look back to the shows roots, something fans of the show will surely appreciate as the series closes out.
Check out the extended trailer below.
Maslany has received numerous awards for her performance of multiple characters on Orphan Black. Despite praise from critics and fans, she was not nominated for an Emmy until the shows third season in 2015 when she was nominated for Outstanding Lead Actress in a Drama Series. Although she did not win the award that year, she was nominated again in 2016 and won.
Season five of Orphan Black premiers on Saturday, June 10 at 10 p.m. EST on BBC America.
