Anthony Bourdain, CNN's 'Parts Unknown' Host & Chef, Dead At 61 In Apparent Suicide
According to a French judicial official, there were no traces of narcotics in Anthony Bourdain’s body when he died.
Police initially ruled Bourdain’s death to be suicide by hanging, but they were unsure if any other factors had contributed to his death.

The Parts Unknown host and well-known chef died on June 8. He was discovered by close friend Eric Ripert and a receptionist who entered his hotel room in France after he skipped a planned dinner and breakfast.
After submitting an article exposing the underbelly of the restaurant industry to The New Yorker, his reputation skyrocketed. The New York City native was also the host of the Travel Channel’s No Reservations. His death came as a shock to many of his fans around the world.
He was dating Asia Argento before he committed suicide. He is survived by his ex-wife Ottavia Busia and 11-year-old daughter Ariane Bourdain.
His mother, Gladys Bourdain, told The New York Times she will be getting a tattoo in memorial of her son. The 88-year-old has no other tattoos, nor was she a fan of Bourdain’s ink. However, she has decided to get her son’s name, Tony, tattooed on the inside of her wrist.
A funeral has yet to be held for Bourdain, but his body was just recently cremated in France. His mother said the family will likely have a small ceremony in honor of the late chef and TV personality.
“He would want as little fuss as possible,” she said.
