One of the fans, who was at the mall parking lot on Wednesday, told the Los Angeles Times, “Everyone knows it’s his birthday and they will be here. Everybody, within themselves, will make it an event.”

Hussle has continued to be honored in many ways since his death. During the BET Awards this year, a performance honored him and he was also the recipient of the Humanitarian Award, which is family accept on his behalf.

A green fabric has been wrapped around the store and the parking lot around it in preparation for the Nipsey Hussle tower that is set to be built, which will honor Hussle’s legacy and memory.

Lauren London, Hussle’s fiancee, posted a sequence of photos on Instagram to remember the rapper. The caption of her Instagram post began with, “Today We celebrate you my beloved. Today we honor you King. We are to live in our highest vibrations because that is how Nip lived his life.”
