Both radio and sports entertainment only have one nominee each, Richard Blade and Michael Strahan respectively.

Hong, one of the film industry honorees, has 672 acting credits and was nominated by fellow actor Daniel Dae Kim. Kim started a GoFundMe campaign in order to raise money for Hong’s nomination process. Kim explained his support for Hong by saying, “It’s time James Hong was honored in the way he deserves, and it’s time to show him how much he – and all the actors of color of earlier generations – have done to pave the way for us today.”
