Fans ‘Disgusted’ With Billie Eilish & Jesse Rutherford’s Age Difference, Halloween Costume Mocking Age Gap

Billie Eilish has made her relationship with The Neighborhood singer’s Jesse Rutherford Instagram official with a controversial Halloween post.

Relationship rumors started circulating in October when they were spotted kissing outside a restaurant in Los Angeles. Fans instantly took to social media to express their shock at the couple’s age difference. 

The “Happier Than Ever” singer seemingly referenced the age gap controversy with the couples’ costumes. In the Instagram post, a photo of the two on Halloween shows Eilish, 20, dressed as a baby, and Rutherford, 31, dressed as an elderly man.

Although the romantic relationship appears to be new, the two musicians have known each other since 2015, when Eilish was 15.

Fans were uncomfortable with the costume, pointing out that their long-standing friendship is concerning to many. Some have called her a “victim” and said she’s being “groomed” by Rutherford.

One fan tweeted in response to the costume that they “feel so sad” for Eilish. 

“She thinks she’s being big and bad and grown trolling the haters but she’s just showing her immaturity and proving the point,” they tweeted.
