Last month, Snoop Dogg announced in an Instagram post that he had decided to finally give up “smoke.”

The news startled fans that the infamous pot-head would even consider such an idea.

A black-and-white image of the rapper with his hands clasped together on the left side while the right side showed typed words: “After much consideration and conversation with my family, I’ve decided to give up smoke. Please respect my privacy at this time.”

His signature was placed underneath these words.

These posts also had the same caption: “I’m giving up smoke.”

Some fans who commented on these posts responded negatively to the Grammy-nominated artist’s decision. For instance, one user commented on the Instagram post stating that “my man Snoop giving up smoke is like Vin Diesel giving up ya family.”

In another post, the rapper put up another post showing a selfie and a caption that read this: “Respect my privacy.”

He declared earlier in the year that he was going to cut down on smoking after becoming a grandfather.

“Being a grandfather has changed me in multiple ways,” he told Mail Online.

“The main way is being concerned with how I live, how I move, the kind of people I’m associated with, because I want to see my grandkids grow old,” Dogg continued. “The only way I can do that is to take precautionary steps as far as how I move, who I hang out with, where I go out, my intake, what am I intaking. Am I doing extra-curricular or am I just doing what I’m supposed to be doing?”

The rapper’s son, Cordell Broadus, posted the black-and-white image of his father on Instagram, and on the same day. His caption read this: “I stand with you Dogg[,] I’m giving up smoke too.”

It turns out that the suspicious fans guessed correctly – it was revealed that Dogg is partnering with the smoke-free fire pit brand, Solo Stove, and he has also become their spokesperson.

“I love a good fire outside but the smoke was too much,” he stated in a press release. “Solo Stove fixed fire and took out the smoke. They changed the game and now I’m excited to spread the love and stay warm with my friends and family.”

The brand is releasing a new line under the label, Snoop Dogg x Solo Stove. The first product is a limited-edition bundle, and with it comes a bonfire fire pit that the artist designed, a fire pit stand, a Snoop bucket hat and even a Snoop x Solo sticker pack. This product bundle will cost $350.
