Veteran actor Michael Madsen, known for his iconic roles in Reservoir Dogs and Kill Bill, was arrested early on August 17 following an alleged domestic altercation with his wife, DeAnna Madsen. The Los Angeles County Sheriff’s Department responded to a call regarding a family disturbance at approximately 12:15 a.m. on the 31600 block of Broad Beach Road in Malibu.

According to a press release from the sheriff’s department, a female adult, later identified as DeAnna Madsen, claimed that her husband had pushed her and locked her out of their home. Upon arrival and after a preliminary investigation, deputies determined that Michael Madsen was involved in a domestic incident and arrested him on charges of misdemeanor spousal battery under California Penal Code 243(e)(1).

Madsen was taken to the Malibu/Lost Hills Sheriff’s Station, where he was booked. Authorities noted that the investigation remains ongoing and that the case will be forwarded to the Van Nuys Superior Courthouse for further proceedings.

A representative for Michael Madsen offered a brief statement, describing the situation as a “disagreement” between the actor and his wife, with hopes that the matter would be resolved amicably for both parties.

Michael and DeAnna Madsen have been married for 28 years. The actor is best known for portraying the psychopathic Mr. Blonde in Quentin Tarantino’s Reservoir Dogs and the assassin Budd in Kill Bill: Volume 2. The sheriff’s department did not provide further details about the incident.
