Meghan Markle Asks Woman To Move Away From Prince Harry In Awkward Exchange At Polo Match
Duchess Meghan Markle had an awkward exchange with a woman on stage after her husband, Prince Harry, won a charity polo tournament.
Markle, 42, and Harry, 39, shared a kiss on stage, with Harry holding a gold trophy for a charity polo match in Miami. After their sweet moment, other attendees joined Markle and Harry on stage. The Duchess asked a woman wearing a white dress similar to Markle not to stand next to her husband.
Harry kept his arm around Markle, forcing others to move around the couple on stage. The woman then had to duck beneath Harry’s trophy to stand beside Markle.
Alongside the royal couple, tennis star Serena Williams, a close friend of Markle’s, attended the event. A ticket was priced at $1,600. Markle wore an $800 off-white dress from designer Heidi Merrick at the match, featuring a cutout silhouette and bow in the back.
At the tournament, Harry faced Naco Figueras, an old friend who has been called the “David Beckham of polo.” Figueras was joined by his wife Delfina Blaquier. A Netflix camera crew followed the couple at the event as they prepared to launch two new series on the streaming platform, including a cooking show.
Last month, Markle opened up about facing “cruel” online bullying and abuse during her pregnancies. Markle stated she was stepping away from social media for her well-being and to focus on her children.
Prince Harry has been the focus of conservative groups trying to obtain his visa records to see if he lied about past drug use.
