Madonna is preparing to announce her rescheduled tour dates after she suffered from a medical emergency. She was supposed to perform in her Celebration tour starting last month, but due to her hospitalization for a bacterial infection, she was forced to postpone the dates.

On Friday the singer tweeted, “Thank you again for your incredible support and patience over these past few weeks! I’m happy to report that the re-routed tour schedule will be coming in the next few days!”

She ended the sentiment by saying, “See you soon for a well-deserved Celebration!! 🎉🌈🥳💘.”

Madonna first announced her upcoming tour back in January, which honors the 40th anniversary of her career. She was scheduled to start on July 15 in Canada and continue to 35 different cities, including Miami, New York City and Los Angeles. Her last date was supposed to be in December when she would be performing in Europe.

Madonna’s illness was first announced in June by her manager Guy Oseary. He shared the news on Instagram writing, “On Saturday, June 24, Madonna developed a serious bacterial infection which lead to a several-day stay in the ICU. Her health is improving, however, she is still under medical care. A full recovery is expected. At this time we will need to pause all commitments, which includes the tour. We will share more details with you soon as we have them, including a new start date for the tour and for rescheduled shows.”

It was determined that her hospitalization was likely due to the 12-hour days where she would be rehearsing daily for the tour. The singer began her recovery shortly and was able to return to her home in Manhattan.
