Kylie Jenner, 20, opened up about her breakup with ex Tyga, 27, on Sunday’s episode of her E! reality show Life of Kylie.
Jenner and Tyga dated for several years before ending the relationship last April. Rumors about the couple began in 2014, when Jenner was just 17, but the pair made it official after the model turned 18.
On her show, Jenner revealed that she realized their 7-year age gap might have caused problems further down the road. She also explained that the breakup was much more cordial and calm than rumors had fans believe. “There was no crazy fight,” Jenner said. “We just decided — well, I decided – that I’m really young. I don’t want to look back in five years from now and feel like he took something from me when he”s really not that type of person… There was absolutely not one thing wrong with me and T. He and I will always, always have a bond.”
The pair ran into each other at Coachella soon after their split, and Jenner admitted that the Internet’s reaction to the meeting was more difficult to deal with than the actual event itself. “The hardest part about having a relationship, for me, is just that it’s blasted all over the Internet,” Jenner said. “I feel like I’m in a relationship with the world sometimes.”
More drama came for the couple when Jenner’s brother Rob Kardashian started dating Tyga’s ex-finacée Blac Chyna. Jenner got right back on the horse, though, and is currently dating Travis Scott.
