Amy Schumer, Other Celebrities Tweet About The Solar Eclipse

Amy Schumer was among many celebrities are enjoyed the North American solar eclipse yesterday, August 21.

SOLAR ECLIPSE CELEBRITY TWEETS

“There goes the sun do do do do,” said Schumer alongside a photo of herself looking through a cereal box pinhole.

Ian Somerhalder went against the grain and looked through multiple pairs of sunglasses, and had his picture posted by wife Nikki Reed. “Honey you sure you can see through those?! The only way to watch the solar eclipse brought to you by my husband, inventor of all things practical??,” she captioned the photo.

“We saw it! It’s so humbling,” Sarah Jessica Parker said in a video she posted to Instagram. The actress was aboard a boat with her family to view the phenomenon.

Kerry Washington posted a photo of the cast and crew of Scandal all gathered together with solar glasses to view the eclipse. “#scandalfam eclipsing. ?,” she captioned the snap.

Brooklyn Decker and Andy Roddick‘s family got together and sported matching eclipse t-shirts with their glasses for the event. “BRING IT, ECLIPSE,” Decker wrote on Instagram. Scotty McCreery got together with a group of friends for the eclipse. “Had to use the moon filter for this photo ??,” he joked in the caption.

The entire Bush family got together for the event, all four generations of them. “Already looking forward to the next one in Texas in 2024,” George H.W. Bush said in his photo. Candace BergenMary SteenburgenJane Fonda, and Diane Keaton paused their book club get together to see the solar event. Larry King got in on the action and put his glasses on in the studio parking lot.

Lady Gaga sported “Total eclipse vibes” with “take me to your planet” written on her palms, pointed at the sky. Kristen Bell reveled in the community of the many sharing eclipse glasses on the streets of New York city. “There are still things that bring us together!” she said. Sarah Hyland showed off her craft skills by creating her own eclipse viewer out of a cardboard box.

Still other celebs either didn’t care too much about the eclipse, or were bummed they didn’t get the right eyewear to see it for themselves. “I’m gonna miss the eclipse and I’m really worried no one is gonna post a crappy picture of it on instagram,” joked Anna Kendrick. “Trying desperately to care about the eclipse,” wrote Billy Eichner. And Paris Hilton posted a funny picture of herself with the caption, “Me trying to peek at the solar eclipse without “special” glasses.”

And finally, Kim Kardashian just posted a photo of herself with her two kids with the caption, “Total eclipse of the heart.”
