Following the release of Alice Johnson, a woman who was previously incarcerated for a one-time non-violent drug offense and pardoned by President Donald Trump after meeting with Kim Kardashian West, the TV personality is continuing her battle for prison reform.

She reportedly took a tour of the California Institution for Women in Corona, California on Friday afternoon. Kardashian West then met with 15 incarcerated women, discussing their hopes and anxieties surrounding their releases.

Reportedly, Kardashian West spent hours at the prison. The trip is supposed to be part of her plan to create a better program for women’s readjustment to life outside prison after being released.

Johnson, a 63-year-old grandmother, served over 20 years in prison but was granted clemency by Trump after meeting with Kardashian West. She said she felt connected to Johnson upon learning her story about half a year ago and worked to help her get released.

Following Johnson’s pardon, Kardashian West tweeted, “I hope to continue this important work by working together with organizations who have been fighting this fight for much longer than I have and deserve the recognition.”

While with Johnson on the Today show, the 37-year-old showed her love for the released inmate.

“I love this woman,” Kardashian said while holding Johnson close. “I mean, I already knew just by talking to you on the phone and just seeing you in videos, but I mean, you are everything and more than I ever thought.”
