Kim Kardashian thanked President Donald Trump and White House adviser Jared Kushner for assisting to get rapper A$AP Rocky freed from jail in Sweden Thursday.

“Thank you @realDonaldTrump, @SecPompeo, Jared Kushner & everyone involved with the efforts to Free ASAP Rocky & his two friends,” she tweeted. “Your commitment to justice reform is so appreciated.”

She ended the tweet with two emojis and link to TMZ’s article about the situation.

The media outlet reported on Thursday that Pompeo was working at the request of the president to have the rapper released from jail following discussions between Kardashian West and Kushner.

The news follows earlier reports of A$AP Rocky being involved in a fight between two other young men in Sweden. The rapper recorded the incident on Instagram and mentioned that they were not his fans and that they had been following him for a while.

The young men who were in the video were seen picking a fight with the rapper’s security guard and his friends. It can also be heard in the video that the men have disrespected other women passing by.

The rapper was arrested on July 2 after voluntarily going to the police in Stockholm for questioning.

Swedish authorities are set to decide where to charge the rapper with a crime or to release him on Friday.

This isn’t the first time Kardashian West has lobbied for criminal justice reform. She worked with Trump last year to secure clemency for Alice Marie Johnson. Johnson is a 64-year-old who was serving a life sentence on charges of money laundering and drug offenses.
