Kelly Rowland Rescued After 12 Hours Lost At Sea
Kelly Rowland rented a boat with a few friends over the weekend in Provincetown, Mass., with the intention of doing some whale watching when the vessel broke down.
The boat became “disoriented in the five-to-six foot waves and fog that had rolled in,” a TowboatUS Provincetown employee told E! News. Explaining the rescue, the source added that once they learned the group required aid, “The US Coast Guard was able to triangulate their position.”
Initially the Coast Guard merely had to guide Rowland’s boat back to the coast in Provincetown. However, on the way back to land, the boat completely broke down. For the remaining four miles, the vessel had to be towed and didn’t dock until 10 p.m. – 12 hours after the group had set sail.
