Karlie Kloss 2016: Latest Look & Dress

Kloss hit the orange carpet for the world premiere of the EPIX original documentary in a green, white and black colorblock Prabal Gurung Resort 2017 number that featured a mermaid skirt. Kloss kept her footwear simple, donning a pair of pointy-toed black flats, and kept her accessories to a minimum.

At the premiere, Serena‘s director Ryan White opened up about what he was going for with the film. “I really wanted to capture that intimate space of a champion. There is a completely different Serena off the court; she’s youthful, she’s cuddly, and it’s infectious,” White said, according to Vogue.

As for Williams herself, she revealed that she wanted to expose her struggle to be comfortable with certain aspects of herself.

“I wanted to show everything that was uncomfortable for me,” she said. “If you look at most athletes, they have a totally different body type than me. It took me a while to find the strength and the courage to embrace that and to feel, like, I love my physique, and it doesn’t matter what people say about you or how people feel, you have to love yourself, and when you love yourself, it will manifest in everything that you do.”

In addition to Kloss, other big names at the premiere included fashion’s Anna Wintour and Vera Wang, as well as Australian rapper Iggy Azalea.
