Jim Carrey’s New Painting Of Jeff Sessions: “America’s Honor Sold At Bargain Basement Prices”
Jim Carrey is best known for acting in comedies such as The Mask and Ace Ventura: Pet Detective, but lately he’s been trying his hand at painting. His latest piece takes aim at Attorney General Jeff Sessions.
JIM CARREY PAINTS JEFF SESSIONS
Known for his colorful pastels and topical subject matter, Carrey’s art has covered topics such as Donald Trump and gun control. As Sessions recently asserted that the Trump administration’s policy of separating parents from their children when they’re captured at the border is a morally fine one, he became the subject for Carrey’s latest piece.

Carrey’s interpretation of Sessions depicts him in a red, white and blue uniform, holding a crumpled piece of paper while screaming children are caged up behind him. Sessions, meanwhile, is welcoming the onlooker to “ICE’s repurposed Walmart,” insisting that core American values like humanity and truth are being sold at “bargain basement prices.”

Carrey’s accompanying tweet comes with the caption, “Give us your huddled masses yearning to breathe free… and we will lock their children in cages with tin-foil blankets. And scar them for life! You know: The American Dream!” Notably, the caption is a corrupted version of a verse from the Statue of Liberty’s welcoming message.
