Jesse James Has “No Regrets” About Marriage With Sandra Bullock, Defends Cheating

Jesse James has spoken out about his marriage to Sandra Bullock and his new life in Texas.

James, 47, split from Bullock in 2010 after five years and marriage and multiple cheating allegations. He says he has “no regrets” except for losing his son Louis in the divorce. The pair was in the process of adopting their son when it was revealed that James had in fact cheated with multiple women.

“Yeah, I did cheat on my wife,” he said. “Yeah, I stood up and took accountability for it and apologized. And that’s end of story.” The West Coast Choppers founder has since married Alexis DeJoria and lives in Texas. He says he is still targeted on social media for his affairs.

“The easy [putdown] is like, oh well, you cheated on Sandra Bullock. That’s the easiest comeback,” James says, adding, “in general, both women and men cheat. It’s part of life.”

James checked himself into a rehab facility in 2010 to try to save his marriage but Bullock went ahead and filed for divorce in June of that year. “There’s no lawsuits, nothing – we’re just going to fight it out. It’s hard for me to bite my cheeks and not say anything and just look down,” he said. “You learn what’s important — that that whole fame thing is not really … It’s meaningless when your quality of life goes to zero.”

James left Hollywood in 2010. In 2013, he married his fourth wife, DeJoria, who is a drag racer and millionaire heiress. He says he is happy with how his life has turned out. “We like the same stuff, the same music, the same everything,” he explains. “We like all these things. It makes me look back at other relationships and be, like, I was an idiot! What was I thinking? That was never going to work. But I guess that’s how you learn, you know.”

Bullock has been dating photographer Bryan Randall since 2015 and has since adopted a baby girl, named Laila.
