Janet Jackson announced her plans to release her first new studio album since 2008 last month, and on Friday morning, the R&B singer revealed a video for her single “No Sleeep.”

Jackson partnered up with rapper J. Cole for the music video, which features the album version of her sensual slow-tempo song “No Sleeep.”

The song was produced by Jackson’s longtime producers Jimmy Jam and Terry Lewis. “No Sleep” will appear on Jackson’s 11th upcoming album, due out this fall by her Rhythm Nation label, marking her first album since Discipline.

The single version of “No Sleeep” — which does not feature Cole — was released on June 22 and has risen to No. 5 in its second week on Billboard’s Adult R&B chart.

In a statement in June, Jackson said, “Thank you to the talented team at BMG, my new artistic home. The opportunity to be creative in music and every form of entertainment has great potential here.”

In the “No Sleeep” music video, Jackson is seen in a candle lit living room on a rainy night. Pictures glow on the wall that features older photographs of Jackson as a little girl.

Jackson appears to be back in her signature curly and frizzy hair-do, as she does Michael Jackson-esque dance moves, complete with her brother’s famous fedora.

“I hope u enjoy watching this as much as we enjoyed making it,” the singer tweeted, along with the music video.

“This year: new music, a new world tour, a new movement. I’ve been listening. Let’s keep the conversation going,” Jackson also told fans during her announcement.

Jackson’s 32-city Unbreakable World Tour kicks off in Vancouver on Aug. 31.
