Ivanka Trump‘s company has used her family’s 60 Minutes interview as a way to sell more jewelry by advertising for the $10,800 bracelet she wore on the show.

IVANKA TRUMP JEWELRY COMPANY USES ’60 MINUTES’

After the television appearance, many journalists reported that they received a so-called “Style Alert” from Ivanka Trump Fine Jewelry that publicized the bracelet she wore. “Ivanka Trump wearing her favorite bangle from the Metropolis Collection on 60 Minutes,” the email read.

While President-Elect Donald Trump has to take a break from his business empire while serving in the White House, his children do not need to do the same. Ivanka’s position, though, is muddled, as she served in Trump’s campaign and has also been assigned to work on his transition team, but she is not an elected official.

Abigail Klem, the president of the Ivanka Trump brand, released a statement following social media that followed the promotion. Klem said the email alert was sent by a “well-intentioned marketing employee” who was just following “customary protocol.” She continued by saying that employee “like many of us, is still making adjustments post-election. We are proactively discussing new policies and procedures with all of our partners going forward.”

The company declined any further comment. However, this is not the first time Ivanka has used her father’s political success to promote her business. Following her speech at the Republican National Convention earlier this year prompted a tweet from her account inviting followers to “Shop Ivanka’s look.”
