Guns N’ Roses 2016 reunion tour rumors have been intensifying this month – and the latest update comes from guitarist Richard Fortus.

Guns N’ Roses Reunion

Fortus, who joined Guns N’ Roses in 2001, seems ready to get back onstage with the L.A. hard rock and heavy metal group. Though he’s currently focused on his work with his band Dead Daisies, he said that the reunion talk was “definitely something” in an interview with Casopis.Headliner.cz, according to Alternative Nation. Fortus added that with Guns N’ Roses, “everything takes years.”

Earlier this month, it was reported that Guns N’ Roses was getting ready to announce a 2016 world reunion tour. With lead singer Axl Rose and guitarist Slash having reconciled following a feud that lasted nearly 10 years, it’s only a matter of time before the tour dates are confirmed, according to Dish Nation.

“Slash and Axl have verbally agreed to get things together again and reform the original band,” a music insider told Dish. “The live shows is where they can show the world what they had and also make the greatest earnings.”

“Promoters are quietly working away to land opportunities. Details of the reunion are expected to leak out in the next few days,” the source added. “Everyone is expecting huge demand for tickets, but the boys are very humble and are not sure what to expect.”

If the Guns N’ Roses reunion tour does occur as it’s been hyped, it will mark the first time in over two decades since the band’s core members – Axl, Slash, bassist Duff McKagan, rhythm guitarist Izzy Stradlin and drummer Matt Sorum – have performed on stage together. Dizzy Reed, who joined the group in the early 90s, would return to play keyboard.
