While trying to reach two divers in a metal cage, a massive great white shark got intertwined in the bars of the divers’ cage, leading to his death.

As seen in the video posted on X, the shark got his head too deep in the cage and used its neck to try and get out, but failed, leaving the two human divers in the cage terrified.

The struggle of the great white shark lasted for 25 minutes, as it aggressively shook its neck and body back and forth to try and untangle itself. After the shark’s fight gave out, its body sank to the bottom.

This bloody scene sparked outrage on social media, especially from animal activists, with some critics commenting that human interference where it does not belong leads to unnecessary deaths of precious creatures in the ocean.

The video raised the question of the ethics of the practices of shark diving.

“That’s terrible. I hope they fix the cage so sharks don’t get stuck like that again,” one user wrote.

“Why do they insist on building these cages with so much room between the bars?” another wondered.
