General Hospital’s Haley Pullos has been charged with two DUI counts and one misdemeanor after she crashed into another car while driving the wrong way on a highway in April.

She was arrested after the crash, and this week, the Los Angeles County District Attorney’s Office said that she has been charged with a felony of driving under the influence of an alcoholic beverage, another felony of driving while having a .08% blood alcohol content, both causing serious injuries, and one misdemeanor of a hit and run which cause property damage.

Her trial begins on July 27. Pullos pleaded not guilty last week.

The D.A.’s Office has spoken about how seriously it takes drunk driving stating, “Drunk driving remains a grave concern in our communities, claiming thousands of innocent lives each year.”

“Charging Haley Pullos with a felony DUI causing injury underscores the severity of this alleged offense,” it said in a statement. “As we approach the Fourth of July holiday weekend, we must recognize the heightened danger of drinking and driving during this time. Let us remain vigilant and make responsible choices to ensure a safe and joyful celebration, free from the devastating consequences of impaired driving.”

Pullos was arrested on April 29 after she was driving the wrong way on the 134 Freeway. She crashed her car into another driver, Courtney Wilder, who sustained serious injuries and had to undergo surgery.

The Pasadena Fire Department had to rescue Pullos out of her car. The collision was so severe she became trapped. She was taken to the hospital, but was in an aggressive state and had to be sedated at the hospital.

Pullos played Molly Lansing-Davis on General Hospital until the accident. She has been replaced by Kate Mansi. It had not been revealed whether Pullos will return to the role.
