Former New York Giants Super Bowl champion Derrick Ward was arrested for committing several robberies in Los Angeles.

Ward is accused of robbing multiple businesses, including a few gas stations. He allegedly used fear and force to take money but no gun was involved.

He was arrested on Monday evening and booked at the Valley Jail in Van Nuys, California, on a felony charge. Ward is currently in police custody and his bail is set at $250,000.

In 2004, he was the seventh-round pick by the New York Jets but was cut by them before he had a chance to play.

He formerly spent eight years playing in the NFL, including the Houston Texans, Giants and Tampa Bay Buccaneers.

He was known for being a part of the group nicknamed “Earth, Wind and Fire” which included himself, Brandon Jacobs and Ahmad Bradshaw while with the Giants. He also helped win the Super Bowl during the 2007 to 2008 season, which is known for beating the undefeated New England Patriots whom Tom Brady played for as their quarterback.

He retired in 2012 with 12 touchdowns and 2,628 rushing yards.
