Elton John will not be spotted front row at any of Janet Jackson‘s Unbreakable World Tour – he’d rather see a drag queen.

Elton John On Janet Jackson

John, 69, famously despises lip-syncing. According to the iconic British pop singer, if you’re going to put on a live show, the singing better be “live.” So naturally he’s incredulous at how music critics can write glowing reviews of Jackson’s tour when, according to him, she’s relying on a recording.

“You know, f–king music magazines writing a review of Janet Jackson saying, ‘This is the greatest show – four and a half stars.’ It’s f–king lip-synced!,” John said in an interview with Rolling Stone. “Hello! That’s not a show!”

“I’d rather go and see a drag queen. F–k off,” John colorfully added.

Incidentally, John launched into his rant about Jackson after admitting that he had been a bit hard on Madonna roughly a decade ago for doing what he’s accusing Jackson of – lip-syncing on tour.

“I say what I feel. I probably went too far with Madonna, and I got very personal,” John conceded, revealing he made amends with the “Like a Virgin” singer. “I wrote her – she was very gracious.”

Will he be writing Jackson next?
